This secret health product makes tons of money

here’s how to get a piece of the pie

GM. This is Work "After" Work. The newsletter that now sends side hustles in the afternoon because, well… AT&T left the whole world without internet 😂😂

Happy Friday Eve! Here’s the docket for today:

  • 🤐 Hostage Tape

  • 😂 Meme of the day

Before we dive in - last week I launched the “Pro” version of the newsletter. I included everything you asked for put it into one beautiful bundle. Probably the most valuable, a list of all the side hustles I’ve written about (150+) that gives you the startup cost, revenue potential, difficulty, and if it’s online or in-person. 👀

Also included - a tracker that tells you what debt to pay down first, a budget sheet to help you manage your finances, and a FB community so we can all learn from each other!

If you want to be apart of that, I’m still running a 50% off sale that ends this week so check it out!

HOSTAGE TAPE

Who would have thought a day would come when people would literally pay money to have their mouths shut?

That’s right, I found this super niche company called Hostage Tape that is making millions a year from literally taping your mouth closed. No…it’s not a joke.

It turns out there are a ton of negatives to mouth breathing. You might want to skip this section if you're a mouth breather.

Here it goes:

  • Harmful to your teeth

  • Causes stinky breath

  • It makes you tired all the time

  • Dry and chapped lips

  • Can cause deformity

  • Increased risk of high blood pressure

  • Snoring and sleep apnea

  • Causes brain fog

After reading all these cons, I know you want to buy this product. Well, that’s how everyone else is feeling and why they’re making millions.

According to CVS, 77% of people are paying attention to their health compared to pre-pandemic.

And this mouth tape stuff is taking off! Andrew Huberman is talking about it and if you know anything about him, you know he has massive pull in the health and wellness space.

Hostagetape.com received over 600k visits last month. Extremely impressive for a company only 3 years old 🤯

They also have ~35k followers on TikTok and ~56k on IG.

Now here’s the thing. There aren’t any competitors, and I think it’s ripe for a rebrand. From a podcast I listened to, this company did ~$500k in 2021, then ~$2M in 2022, $14M last year, and supposedly will do $40M this year, per this podcast.

Those are some crazy numbers and there’s only one color for this tape. And to be honest, it looks kind of creepy, especially if you're running with it.

Provide alternatives with various skin-colored mouth tapes to be less noticeable. And fun colors where it doesn’t look like someone was really just held hostage and is now running free 😂

Or niche down to mouth tape for kids. Tooth decay also occurs for kids. We all know parents don’t want their little ones to have cavities or spend thousands on dental bills.

So here's what I’d do:

Create cartoon-themed and fun-colored mouth tapes that children will actually wear. Like those SpongeBob band-aids we wore as kids – oh, the nostalgia.

I’m also willing to bet this mouth tape is too large for children (so provide a kid’s line of mouth tape) but maybe I’m wrong.

How I’d go about finding customers:

1. Run ads

Facebook ads are super effective and I can tell Hostage Tape knows this just by looking at their ad library. They have about 70 active ads running right now! 👀

Just target a different or more specific niche (like parents with children).

Learning how to create an effective ad takes time, and you’ll make mistakes as a beginner. I’ve been running them for about a year now so if you need any help lmk!

2. User-generated content (UGC)

When you take a closer look at Hostage Tape’s Facebook ad library you’ll notice not all but most is UGC, and that’s because it works.

“People buy from people.” – your potential customers want to see reviews and testimonials. Period. UGC is a fantastic way to show off your product and attract customers.

If you’re looking for reliable websites to get UGC creators (since it feel likes there are thousands) I’d recommend these 4:

So there ya have it folks. This company is only 3 years old and is doing millions. You have the perfect company to blueprint from. Rebrand and get to the races. See you on the other side 👊

MEME OF THE DAY

😂😂 NVIDIA reported earnings yesterday and all of Twitter was going crazy. Don’t worry they crushed earnings… your retirement account is good for now.

One more for the memes since AT&T caused so much racket today.

“AT&T service today when you leave wifi” 😂😂

That's a wrap ladies & gents! Enjoy the weekend :)
